This section summarizes the structural systems and building subsystems that can be modeled within MkaPEB, with the goal of representing the actual PEMB configuration in a single, consistent workflow. It covers the main structural types supported by the software—steel trusses, hot-rolled portal frames, tapered portal frames, solar parking structures, and portal trusses—as well as common project-driven components such as cranes, mezzanines, and jack beams.

In this section, the emphasis is on capturing how these elements interact with the primary framing. For example, MkaPEB enables crane systems to be defined and incorporated within the same analysis/design workflow used for the main structure, so member forces and reactions reflect realistic load paths. Similarly, mezzanines and jack beams can be modeled as part of the full building system rather than treated as external “miscellaneous steel,” allowing their effects on load transfer, member demand, and support reactions to be evaluated consistently.
