MkaPEB uses the following design standards for the member design of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs):

  • Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 360-22)
  • Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 341-22)

For members with nonprismatic sections, MkaPEB divides each nonprismatic member into smaller segments.

To determine the section depth at each station and to compute the area of each segment, several methods have been proposed. MkaPEB follows the average method and calculates the segment areas accordingly.

MkaPEB then subdivides each segment into smaller parts and, at each station, checks all applicable tensile, compressive, and flexural and axial requirements.

Furthermore, MkaPEB generates comprehensive, detailed reports for each station within every segment to ensure full traceability of the member design checks.
